I see a lot of these cases here on this site asking for advise and the first thing people recommend is marriage counseling.
I do not believe in counseling, to me they are just professionals making money to hear a couple argue, for that, I have my dog who is a very good listener.
The people I have met that have gone to one lived under complete denial and they figure a third party can make a miracle happen.
Would you pay a marriage counselor to make your husband love you and respect you? Can they do that?
I can’t picture myself being with a man who has to be taught how to treat me and how to love me. It loses all essense of true love to me

>> They can’t MAKE anyone do anything! All they, a book, this forum, etc. can do is offer some choices and concepts for you to learn and try out.
