am a State Trooper and deal with this kind of stuff on a daily basis. Yes, I think most sentencing is way too soft, but this case was taken way out of hand. Yes, there are different levels of punishment…….they are called class A, B, C and D felonies, etc. She didn’t hurt anyone, so it should be a lesser sentence. Any jail time for her is insane. I see drunk drivers who have killed people not get any jail time, ex. The St. Louis Rams defensive end “Little”. I have been in pursuits with Meth cookers who had 7 previous felony arrests for meth production and they got less jail time. I arrested a guy for his 6th dwi, he had only done 120 days of jail for the previous arrests. A buddy of mine got the same guy for his 7th dwi, how was he not in jail and able to get his 7th dwi arrest. We can write in “road rage’ on the tickets we write to add a bigger fine.
