Do anabolic steroids work on alcoholics?

Fairly simple question. Do they even work if someone has an alcohol dependency? I ask on behalf of someone I know.

I explained that they damage the liver as does alcohol, so it would be a disaster. But he wants to know if there are any that do not damage the liver. He mentioned that someone told him that taking horse steroids do not, but I sort of doubt this is true.

Yes, the steroids will still work, but combining the two is a very, very bad idea. You saying he being an alcoholic means if he combines steroids into his drinking habit, his liver will be shot in no time. He also risks problems with severe dehydration and what not. Not to mention the extra stresses steroids can put on other organs (such as the heart), which will synergize with the alcohol’s effects.

Long story short, your friend is a moron if he is seriously considering doing this. Kind of harsh, sry lol. Best of luck.
