Personally, i think the answer is yes. but the medical establishment would never allow it. addictive tendencies or any history of “substance abuse” is contraindicated for treatment with ritalin or adderall. never mind that so many use meth to self-medicate for ADD. never mind that years of meth use will leave you with ADD, even if you did not have it before. these are just my opinions based on experience. of course the medical orthodoxy would vehemently disagree with me. anyway, i would recommend trying it by getting a prescription (it’s usually adderall these days). but if you find that you get out of hand with adderall, then you’ll have to just face that fact that you are not ready for a tool of that sort. using chemicals intelligently and with temperance to enhance your quality of life is a path sharper than a razors edge. you might need to actually stop all substances for a couple years before you can use something like ritalin/adderall to its optimal advantage without getting carried away with it.
