In May the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley celebrated its 50th anniversary. Since it began as a means to curb alcoholism in San Angelo, the council has grown in the number of people it reaches and programs it provides to treat abuse and addiction, as well as prevent it.

Student designs poster to educate people about prescription drug abuse
A Grayling High School Senior lent her talents to a task force focused on stopping the spread of prescription drug abuse. Kelsey Neuberger designed a poster for the Crawford Partnership for Substance Abuse Awareness, which says, “This Sharing is Not Caring: Stop Prescription Drug Abuse.”
