Can They Become “clean” Without Rehab From Meth?

If someone was addicted to a drug, (Meth) for more than 2 years can they become clean without any formal rehab?? I have seen shows where they say only a certain percentage of people can actually do that. Anyone know the stats on that or know where I can find this information?
