Question by Eric Schimdt: Can I become a Police Officer if I went to drug rehab for Marijuana forced by my parents?
I was just caught from my parents with a joint(marijuana cigarette) and they assumed I had a problem, so they forced me to go to rehab. I don’t have a problem and never did. I have not smoked marijuana since I went to rehab. Will I still be able to become a Police Officer? I have a Bachelors Degree and have clean record; does that help my chances on becoming a Police Officer. It has been 4 years ago since I was in rehab. Any answers or advice will help. Thanks

if there is no public record of rehab it should not
affect your chances, however if they do manage to
find out it can only be a negative factor.
