I know this man who always sounds like he is drunk and everyone remarks him in a chat room and calls him a ” drunk ” …yet he always says he gave up drinking 3 years ago. I know for a fact his behavior isn’t normal and he always sounds drunk and is singing along with music and his speech is always slurred. He hasn’t worked in his life that i know of and he’s now 46. The other day he made reference to cocaine and i remember him making reference to it a few times in the past too. Is it possible a person on cocaine can sound drunk? He also has slurred speech and behaves really weird and acts like a fool. Sometimes he acts normal but most times he is like someone who is ” high” or on something and everyone remarks that. He said a few times it’s just that he had too much coffee or it’s his energy drink that makes him act all crazy and sound drunk but i don’t believe that. I’m a friend of his and i think he may be addicted to cocaine. how can i find out for sure as it’s only through chat i know him and yet i care for him?

Sounds like a former neighbor, and he did do coke plus alcohol plus who knows what else. When he was desparate for cocaine, he was scary. Thankfully he moved away.

You can ask this man in chat if he does coke. Even if he doesn’t give you a straight answer, his odd behavior is enough for you to be keeping your distance. It’s nice to care about him, but really he’s the only one who can help himself.
