Question by Romeo_Svengali: Brief interventions for dual disorders?
Hello, friends.
I’m wondering whether you know of any evidence-based or promising practices for mental health and substance abuse treatment that can be applied in relatively short periods of time (around 3 months).
Thank you for your help.

I think they’re experimenting with deep brain stimulation
with focused electromagnets and having some successes with it see link with illustrations.

That would be one.
They’re also trialing a medicine in Melbourne for substance misuse / abuse / addictions
I think it’s Naltrexone. Yes I was right! See link, but it was a while back since I last saw it

They were using Naltrexone implants in the abdomen.
So to answer your question if a substance misuer also
suffered from depression as part of their rehabilitation
they could use both a
Naltrexone & deep stimulation hey ?
Please verify everything with a doctor
I am not a doctor of any kind shape or form.
Best Wishes.
