Is there such thing as an addictionologist or some kind of doctor that specializes in treating people with addictions?

Also what kind of schooling do you go to/what do you major in?

Yes, there are pain specialists and rehab doctors etc. So a pre-med undergrad degree. You would have to get a general MD first and then a residency probably in internal medicine or something fairly general and then a fellowship in the specialty. Med school will guide you once you are in there.
