Are There Support Groups Out There for Mothers Who Lost Their Child Through Adoption?

Question by steve and angie: Are there support groups out there for mothers who lost their child through adoption?
The state took my son from me in 2000 due to my drug use and he was eventually adopted. I have missed him so much through the years and think of him everyday and due to certain circumstances(not any type of drug abuse, I have been clean for 9 years now) that have risen as of late I am in a real bout with the worst depression I have ever had and am in need of people who have the same or close to the same type of ordeal in their life.

I can’t say that there are any support groups for us Birthmoms. However I have been where you are and it does suck. I had a child whom was given up for adoption by my state due to my age and the fact that I was a **ward of the state**. I also currently have 3 children in foster care so yeah I may be a person you would talk too?
