I was wondering because on the show House, he gave his co-worker amphetamines from the hospital pharmacy in his coffee to screw up his day (I know its just a t.v. show ) But would there really be speed at a hospital pharmacy? What would it be prescribed for?

they are prescribed for adhd, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. It makes you more attentive, it’s known as a stimulant, which can also make you too energetic at times.
