Alcoholics Anonymous Membership on Cover Letter?

Question by justanaccount2008: Alcoholics anonymous membership on cover letter?
I’m applying to be an addictions counselor. The qualifications state, “or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience treating individuals with substance abuse”

I have been sober in A.A. for over 10 years and conducted meetings in hospital settings. Is putting my membership in a cover letter appropriate?
Any help appreciated!!

I would say no. Your experience in counseling in hospital settings should be enough.
