My brother recently went into Detox for a drug addiction and I had to recieve this information from his friend at work. I do not have a way to reach him while he is going through the treatment so I called his friend again for an update. He told me that my brother si currently under suicide watch… This is not like him at all!! I can’t stress enough how not like him this is. Being his sister and close friend I am very worried about him. Is it normal for a patient to have suicidal thoughts durring detox? Or could this be a sign that the treatment isn’t working? He has a week left and I’m beginning to think these thoughts may not end in a week.
