Improving Outcomes for Drug Addicted Offenders – The Drug Treatment Court of Vancouver (DTCV) uses an integrated team of justice, health and social service professionals to provide drug-addicted offenders with court supervised drug treatment to reduce future criminal offending and enhance public safety. Operating in the Downtown Eastside since 2001, the DTCV has been adapted for use in Canada from a US model. It is the largest drug treatment court in Canada that provides a voluntary alternative to the regular criminal court process for individuals who commit offences because they have a drug addiction. The DTCV provides a broad range of holistic services that are designed to change criminal behaviour and improve health outcomes of drug-addicted offenders. A few days ago, I was driving to a dinner. As soon as I got there, my oil light turned on for the FIRST time ever. I decided that I should go to the gas station, which was maybe a mile away, to buy some oil and put it in my car. When I started driving again, my engine was making some noises, but I thought that it would be best to get the oil. About half way (maybe 2 minutes), my engine died and wouldn’t turn over again. The battery is NOT dead, and when I opened the hood, there was no smoke or bad smell. It also didn’t seem too hot. I did discover that there was an oil leak, and next to nothing was left in my car.

My thing is i’m scared to tell him thinking he might do something really stupid like go back to drugs or even hurt himself. he knows how much he screwed up in the past and knows it was his fault i left him but i really don’t want to hurt him, you don’t want to hurt anyone you love. although i love him, it hasn’t been enough for me to up and leave eveything for him, my 2 jobs or my current bf. i told my ex that im sure we’ll end up together in the end especially if its meant to be, thinking i wouldn’t get prego again. which is another thing, i got pregnant twice when i was with him and got abortions because of how crappy our relationship was and he didn’t even have a job or anythingn to show for, i was the “sugar mama” and sick of it. now he makes hella money and tries to buy me things, horrible timing! it was hard for me to go thru those procudures knowing what i was doing, and the pain is something i still live with so it’s always on my mind and i told myself i couldn’t do that again. which i really dont, i just dont know what to tell my ex. i know i dont’ have to say anything but thats not me. i originally wanted to tell him that the doc said if i get another abortion is could ruin my chances of concieving again. ughhhh just really nervous and unsure of what to do. I care way too much what ppl think, and im human and make mistakes like everyone else. So please no smartass rude comments please, i can’t bare anymore negative thoughts going thru my mind. thanks a lot..
