Failed Drug Test?

Question by johnny kevlar: failed drug test?
i am on probation (in NJ), w/only 1 month to freedom when i failed a saliva test for marijuana. whats going to happen? i have been good for 2 years, and was at a bacheleor party (hammered) and took 1 hit. i know its my fault. my PO left me a voice mail saying i will have to go under “treatment”. this treatment shouldnt include jail will it? Do i have ANY chance of pleading to her w/my good behavior as a defense? i really do not smoke at all anymore, it was a really dumb thing to do.

Treatment probably means treatment program..Like a rehab could be a class or something like that..Usualy on the 1st prob violation for smoking weed that’s all they will make you do but don’t get caught again or you’ll be in some trouble

Just tell the judge, “I Didn’t Inhale”…..Worked for Clinton !!

That, dude, is what you get for living in a state where cannibus is illegal. Or, is new jersey a commonwealth.. whatever.

Do your best to get such stupid laws changed where you live, not break them….

What I would like to know, however, is why you decided to fess up to taking that one hit. Saliva tests come back positive simply for inhaling the smoke produced by someone else’s joint.

I usually leave whenever someone lights up, but that’s me. Just being in the same room with someone who lights up is not a crime, at least not where I live. Why should it be considered as such where you live?

They will probably send you to out patient therapy sessions 2x a week, they will also extend your probation 3-6mo. make you take randoms 2x per mo. as well as A.A. or N.A. 2x a week. and possible house arrest. House arrest is usually determined on several things, for ex] In the north Detroit area all the jails are filled so they gave me a tether and if you have a job they will work with you.

Of course you never know what they are going to do. small towns like to keep their jails as full as possible so that they won’t get their budgets cut. 20 to life for parking violation.

Good Luck man I know exactly and I mean exactly how you feel.

I assume you are going to have to go to some classes, not jail. Hopefully, if your original offense wasn’t too bad some classes will cover it. You KNow, Hi, I’m John, HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII JOHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! classes.
