I honestly think, that if he actually did it, he would be up front and honest about it, and make a statement about how sorry he is. There is no point of lying, because there is no way you could prove yourself innocent in this situation. So think Richard is telling the truth. Of course, that just may be the naive, childish side of me, that thinks there are no such thing as lies. But I am sticking by one of my all time favorite players here. I think if he were banned for 2 years, his career would be finished...So if he gets proven innocent he will come back and fight til he wins all the majors, haha.

This would be a horribly stupid decision to ban Gasquet for two whole years. No matter how hard Gasquet would try after two years, it would be pretty difficult for him to make it back to the top of the game. Although even if he did take it he probably wouldn't admit it that easily, he still sounds genuinely honest. Hopefully a few other things can be done to prove Gasquet's innocence. What seems to be a good thing from this though is how he is talking about how he has never been more motivated. That motivation could ultimately take him to new places in his career, and we all know how much potential he has. Could this be a blessing in disguise?

Edit: James I agree completely, if Gasquet were guilty he would know well enough that it would be practically impossible to lie about it and then get away with it, so I really think he is telling the truth. Whatever happened at that damn party may have messed up his career!
