Ice Addiction?

Truely Happy asked:

Why do I constantly crave ice. I have been this way for probably about 2 years. ITs only a certain kind that I like to chew—-white kind that it has to be crushed. I feel like its a drug for me or somehting. I can eat about 15 (32oz) cups a day. What is my problem?? Does anyone elese do the same.

once i read an article that said people who constantly chew ice are usually people who are single and ready to mingle!..meaning you are sexually frustrated!.. haha..

My aunt had the same problem. She went to the doctor, they told her she had an iron deficiency. You should just give them a call or go see a doctor. It won’t hurt ya!

    Good Luck!

haa i do the same thing i did it to stop me from chewing on peppermints lol its totally ok although its bad for your teeth

  • traceilicious:

No, but you need to stop. Chewing ice that much can be bad for your teeth. I used to work for a dentist and he would kill us girls when he saw us chewing on ice.

I wonder if you have what is called Pica.

I wrote an artical about it. It’s called “May I borrow some toilet paper? I’m hungry.”

People with pica are known to eat: dirt, clay, paint chips, plaster, chalk, cornstarch, laundry starch, baking soda, coffee grounds, cigarette ashes, burnt match heads, cigarette butts, feces, ice, glue, hair, buttons, paper, sand, toothpaste & soap.
